The location was very nice, but to pay this much money one should expect better service. With that said some of the members were very polite and welcoming. The lodge did send a complimentary bottle of champagne as an apology (albeit with no note which made for more confusion) but for such a small location I expect the staff to do a better job in knowing and helping their guests. At no point was there a mention of confronting the people who lied about being us. We cancelled our dinner reservation as a result of this, then had to go back downstairs and make sure the liars who claimed they were us for breakfast did not charge their meal to our room. Apparently some of the staff cannot remember guest looks for more than a few minutes. They seemed surprised and when told we were leaving due to the long wait the response was that someone stood up when our name was announced. When we came back it was nearly a 15 minute wait before we finally cancelled our breakfast plans. No problem and we went upstairs to reserve a spa treatment for the next day.
We asked to get on the list for breakfast and were told it would be 5 to 10 minutes. No problems on the first night and made our reservation for dinner on the second night. Check in and valet service was just fine.
